- Jr Communications Kludge may be distributed as you will. Don't charge money
- for it. If anyone makes improvements to program let me know about it.
-
- This program does not support internal modem.
-
- There's a compatibility problem between JR's and a regular PC serial port
- that prevents some communications programs from running with JR and an
- external modem. Basically what happens is that the programs end up setting
- the baud rate wrong. (There's another kind of problem with interrupt driven
- communication programs, but JCK won't help with this.)
-
- JCK is a memory resident program that allows a user to adjust his comm parms
- to a proper JR setting from within a communications application.
-
- If you use an external modem and have a program that requires many taps on the
- keys to get a character to echo on the screen (or maybe can't get a character
- at all), then you've got a candidate for JCK.
-
- This version of JCK will probably not help with dialing directories. (Since
- comm parms are usually reset when a number is dialed from the directory).
- You'll probably need to dial from the keyboard.
-
- JCK has got the the following programs going that otherwise would not work
- with my Volksmodem 12 at 1200 baud:
- PC-TALKB........need a bunch of memory and a ramdisk for downloads.
- PC-DIAL.........better have a ramdisk.
- QMODEM 1.09
- Perfect Link 1.0......use COM2.
-
- For commands and instructions run the program and use PrtScr.
-
- JCK is brand new and still in experimental stage, but, at least for the time
- being, I'm tired of messing with it. If you want to play around with the
- program and can't locate the source, then ask me for a copy (address above).
-
- Try making a dialing directory with a keyboard macro program.
